Wolverhampton Crown Court sentenced Paul Norgrove to life imprisonment for murder with a minimum term of 15 years. Mr Norgrove was a fledgling builder. Sharon Gordon was his client and victim.
Prosecutor, Earl Pinnock, charted the turbulent relationship between the two. Mr Norgrove had struggled to carry out an uncomplicated side extension to Ms Gordon’s home. She voiced her frustrations to him over many months. Whilst working at her home on 20 July 2023 he used his hammer to carry out a “brutal and sustained attack” upon Ms Gordon, leaving her for dead at the bottom of her stairs. She sustained traumatic brain injury. That evening he led a service of worship at his Kingdom Hall.
