Members of chambers advise and represent individuals, organisations, and governmental bodies based in many overseas jurisdictions, with a particularly extensive experience of Caribbean work originating in both independent nations and British Overseas Territories.
In addition members have been instructed in cases (for example) in the Crown Dependencies and concerning litigation in the Falklands Islands. We pride ourselves on the versatility to apply our skills in these jurisdictions.
Our barristers appear before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council in London, and before appellate and first instance courts throughout the Caribbean. Examples of our barristers’ international cases in this practice area include:
Our members bring their individual areas of expertise to the task of assisting in cases where the local statute law and procedure must be mastered, just as much as to cases where the common law may apply. Our counsel pride themselves on a high level skillset and excellence that is transferable and brought to bear in all our work.
Some members of chambers are presently working as attorneys in offshore jurisdictions, and we can offer barristers called to the Bars of many different jurisdictions both on the bases of an ad-hoc special admission and in several instances those called by full admission.
