Carol has recently joined the No 5 Court of Protection team. Since joining No 5 she has practised in personal injury and clinical negligence. Working in those areas, she has experience of conducting cases on behalf of claimants who lack capacity. Developing a practice working in the Court of Protection will expand and complement her existing practice.
In her early years at the Bar, Carol practised in criminal law where she represented many clients with mental health issues and learning difficulties. As a result, she has developed the ability to communicate with clients with a view to enabling them to understand the legal process(es) in which they are involved.
Carol has completed training courses provided by No 5 and led by Ian Brownhill. The courses were offered to and attended by solicitors and members of chambers. She has also observed a variety of hearings relating to health and welfare and property and affairs conducted by Ian Brownhill and David Gardner.
