Tim Jones: DCLG 'needs to clarify' town centre neighbourhood plan rules

Fri, 13 Feb 2015

Tim Jones, member of No5 Chambers’ Planning and Environment Group and neighbourhood plan examiner, spoke at Planning’s Neighbourhood Plans and Community Engagement Conference in London yesterday.

He said the Department for Communities and Local Government needs to provide better advice on who is allowed to vote in referenda for neighbourhood plans that cover town centers.

He said "Examiners would really appreciate clear advice about what to do with town centers… Who are the people to vote? Do you extend and to what extent do you extend?"
