Mon, 26 Mar 2012

Tim Jones, a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of No5 Chambers' ADR group, spent the weekend of 24th and 25th March 2012 acting as one of the presiding arbitrators in the international arbitration moot, ‘V Belgrade Open Pre Moot’.

Since 2008, the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law has organised the Belgrade Open Pre-moot competition in cooperation with the GTZ Open Regional Fund, Foreign-Trade Arbitration Court attached to the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Belgrade City Hall and several prominent law firms. This is in preparation for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, one of the world’s largest and most prestigious moot competitions.

The teams, which appeared before Tim Jones were from universities in Rio de Janeiro, Passau, Milan, Skopje, Wellington (New Zealand), Moscow and New York. We wish all of them well in Vienna.
