Angus Burden (1994 call) and Louise Corfield (2008 call) have both gained recognition in the prestigious Chambers UK High Net Worth Guide 2021.
The guide published identifies the leading professional advisers to the Private Wealth market in National Leaders (outside London). The guide highlights:
Angus Burden focuses on private client disputes involving wills, trusts and probate. "He does a lot of contentious probate work, he is extremely able," observes a fellow barrister, who also says that he is "really subtle" and "lends perspective and balance" to matters. "He is my favourite," says a solicitor, adding: "He is just excellent - a proper brain and really good with clients, and he wins the judge over.
Louise Corfield is "an up-and-coming junior who knows the contentious trust and probate world well," says an interviewee. She regularly advises clients on probate disputes, will contests and Inheritance Act claims. "I've been against her and she was fluent and impressive," reports an experienced barrister, and another commentator says that Corfield is "very collaborative in terms of her style, and has a really calm manner with clients," before adding that she is "technically competent but also strategically astute - she has a great balance."
