Gareth Evans QC's client cleared in £1.2m jewellery raid

Youness Arash, 25, Sheldon, and Adam Curran 25, Sparkbrook, were accused of robbery, possessing an imitation firearm and handling stolen goods.

Following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court, a jury cleared them of all charges.

A gang of five or six robbers used a stolen tipper truck to smash into a Birmingham jewellery shop in April last year. They went into the premises, put jewellery into holdalls, then the truck smashed another hole in a wall so they could get away.
