Don McConville

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of former member of chambers, Don McConville, who died on 11th March, in hospital following an illness. Don was called to the bar in 1963 and began his career in practice at No 4 Chambers, Fountain Court, Birmingham.

He then moved to No 3 Chambers, before joining No5 in 2006. He was renowned for his civil work. He was always a very worthy opponent and fought hard for his clients. He treated everyone with the utmost courtesy and respect and, in personal terms, it was always a pleasure for members of chambers to be against him in court and for them and staff to socialise with him in chambers.  Our thoughts and commiserations go to his partner, Bella.
