Daniel Oscroft prosecutes Dudley fraud and assault case

A woman from Dudley has been jailed for six years and three months after attacking her father, David Glass, and defrauding him of £17,500 over a three year period. 

It was heard in Stafford Crown Court that Davina Delo, 47, carried out the attack on her father at his home in Telford with her husband David Delo folllwing the funeral of Delo’s son.

Daniel Oscroft prosecuting, told the court that the couple came to live with Mr Glass following the death of his wife. 

It was heard that Mr Glass was struggling to cope with his finances in which his daughter had offered to help and soon afterwards it went downhill.

Mr Oscroft told the court that it was clear that bills were not being paid with the money from Mr Glass’.

Davina Delo and David Delo both admitted a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

Davina Delo also admitted fraud between May 2011 and June 2014
