Two contract killers have been jailed for life after being found guilty of the murder of Richard Deakin, 27.

David Harrison and Darryl Dickens were both sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court. Harrison, the gunman, will serve a minimum of 37 years and Dickens, the getaway driver, will serve a minimum of 30 years. Both showed no emotion when the verdicts were read out after a five-week trial.

Lord Justice Roderick Evans said “This was a carefully planned and professionally executed contract killing. You were paid by people who are still at large”.
