Stephen is very experienced in the field of clinical negligence having practised in this area since 1997. His degree in Physiology gives him a particularly useful insight into and understanding of more complicated medical issues.
Stephen is consistently Legal 500 recommended in the area of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence work. Advised, drafted pleadings and represented claimant at court in respect of a failure to diagnose meningitis and treat with intravenous anti-biotics within an appropriate time, causing permanent brain injury. Liability and causation remain in dispute, with expert evidence from Paediatrics, Paediatric Neurology, Neonatology, Infectious Disease, Nursing and Care. At a JSM represented by Chris Bright QC a settlement of 5million was achieved for the client;
He is currently representing Claimant in a claim for failure to properly risk assess patient with head injury and permitting him to fall out of bed suffering further severe head injury.
