Nicola practises in financial relief, public and private law proceedings.
A broad range of cases including business interests, pensions, spousal maintenance, variation applications, schedule 1 children claims pursuant to Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989, financial disputes between cohabitees and unmarried couples and Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
Nicola has presented seminars on TOLATA claims and Pre-nuptial agreements.
Nicola represents parents, grandparents and Children Guardians and others who become involved in public care proceedings. She has significant experience in care proceedings involving non-accidental injuries, chronic neglect, international elements and parents with compromised functioning including where the Official Solicitor is involved.
Full range of private law applications including intractable disputes and the appointment of 16.4 Guardians. She accepts instructions involving complex residence and contact applications. Nicola has dealt with internal and external relocation cases.
Nicola is registered to accept instructions on public access. She has represented clients involved in financial cases and private children cases. As a former solicitor [1995-2008] she has extensive experience in managing cases from infancy to trial and can guide the lay client through the court process.
