After reading Law at Nottingham University where (apart from captaining the team on BBC2’s University Challenge!) he won the Nottingham Graduates Mooting Prize, Neil carried out his earlier training in London in the Chambers of Richard Ferguson QC.
Neil has experience acting for both Claimants and Defendants in all areas of work ranging from small claims, fast track trials and disposal hearings to multitrack hearings.
Neil has vaste experience in the area of credit hire and he was on the approved list of Counsel who were instructed on behalf of Accident Exchange, regarding enforceability and the application of the DSR legislation.
Now he also conducts works for other hire companies and providing his expertise in this field. He has provided extensive advice to various hire companies regarding their agreements, case management, conducting conferences on liability, period and rates arguments and also attended hearings and trials on their behalf.
Neil has a great deal of experience in RTA cases, whether it be for trial, negotiation or strategy on either liability or quantum. He also has experience in consideration of fraud matters in relation to RTAs.
Neil is also an Advocacy Tutor for Lincoln’s Inn, at the ICC in the Hague and at a member of the Faculty at Keble College, Oxford. He is also an Accredited Mediator.
Outside of the law, Neil has a keen interest in sport and in particular skiing. He is a qualified England Hockey umpire and coach.
