Maria has experience in dealing with international commercial arbitration matters and has been instructed as a junior and sole counsel in domestic and international mediations and arbitrations.
Maria’s recent experience in arbitration matters includes:
- Dealing with a large ICC dispute concerning the supply of goods and materials between the UK and Brazil;
- Instructed on two very large value ICC disputes concerning matters of insurance/reinsurance;
Maria is able to draft all written submissions for preliminary issues in an arbitration.
Maria is an International Mediation Institute qualified mediator and accepts instructions to act as a Mediator or as a Mediation Advocate, from both professional clients and on a public access basis. Maria has a separate CV for her mediation work.
DUBAI and the UAE
Maria is also admitted as an established practitioner (Part 1 and Part 2) in the DIFC and can accept instructions to appear for clients before the DIFC Courts in the Middle East.
Maria is presently instructed as sole Counsel on four separate large value matters defending claims in the DIFC in relation to alleged breaches of contract and sale purchase agreements.
