Pupil 2019 - 2020
Lois is accepting instructions from April 2020.
Lois spent her first six months of pupillage under the supervision of Gemma Roberts, a barrister with substantial experience, during which time she worked on a wide range of personal injury and clinical negligence matters, including conferences, trials, negotiations and drafting.
Lois is approachable, hard-working and is looking to build a thriving personal injury practice; she accepts instructions in small claims and fast track matters and the full range of interlocutory hearings.
Previous employment experience
Prior to starting pupillage, Lois had developed her personal injury knowledge through different roles. Upon completing her degree, Lois worked at a military personal injury firm before working as a Legal Assistant to Gerard McDermott QC. The majority of his caseload involves catastrophic personal injury such as spinal cord injury and brain injury, often with an element of cross border.
During her time with Gerard, Lois drafted pleadings, worked on schedules, conducted legal research and attended joint settlement meetings, mediations and Court hearings.
