Viewing: Alternative Dispute Resolution for Laura Vickers

Laura is a specialist Family Mediator, dealing with both children and property disputes.
Until recently, Laura was a well-regarded children law barrister, however – motivated by her wish to assist clients to resolve their disagreements with the minimum delay, cost and heartache – now focusses solely on mediation as a form of non-court dispute resolution.
Laura will facilitate open, solution-focussed discussions to enable parties to make agreed arrangements in respect of: where the children of the family will live and how they will spend time with each parent; ownership and occupation of the family home; the division of finances and property upon a divorce; or relocation and cross-jurisdictional disputes, among other issues.
Mediation often takes place between separating couples, but may also be suitable for wider family disputes, such as grandparental contact with children.
Laura is skilled in areas of high conflict family breakdown. Mediation may be possible even where clients have experienced some form of domestic violence or controlling behaviour. Special arrangements can be made for parties who may be more vulnerable as a result of a learning disability or mental health issue.
Laura is a co-founder and administrator of LLFJB.com. The site – for the Leicester and Leicestershire Family Justice Board – provides news and resources for family law practitioners as well as accessible, free information for members of the public.
