Katie is a family law specialist currently accepting instructions in all areas of family law.
Katie regularly represents parties in private law children disputes covering a variety of issues from contact and residence arrangements to specific issue applications and applications for removal from the jurisdiction. Katie has experience of dealing with allegations of serious domestic violence and representing vulnerable clients through from first hearing to final hearing.
Katie has also been instructed to represent clients in Family Law Act applications for injunctive relief at both ex-parte and contested hearings.
Katie also accepts instructions in care proceedings and has acted for family members and Children’s Guardians during applications for placement and special guardianship orders. Katie also has experience of dealing with non-accidental injury cases and the cross-examination of expert witnesses.
Katie is happy to take instruction in all aspects of financial relief proceedings and has prior experience of representing clients and negotiating settlements in such cases. Further, Katie is happy to provide advice on applications and settlements and recognises the importance of assisting clients in keeping legal costs as low as possible.
Katie is able to accommodate requests for conferences at all offices and is happy to attend solicitor’s offices if that is more convenient.
Katie is keen to expand her practice in all areas and has a thorough approach to presenting cases. She is able to provide clear advice to individual clients whilst remaining thoughtful to their needs and is able to put clients at ease whilst putting forward their position clearly and robustly.
