Dr. Anand is a highly experienced counsel having a diverse and wide practice in the fields of private international law, commercial litigation, arbitration and family law. Her core skill areas are commercial litigation, white collar crimes, telecom, environment, private international law and family law with a particular reference to inter-country parental abduction.

• Representing the Government in the case of Triple Talaq – challenge to the archaic practice of Triple Talaq as contrary to right of life, equality of gender and human dignity.
• Represented the Government of India in the Aadhaar case before the Constitution bench of the Supreme Court and other courts of India (Aadhaar is a National Identity Card) leading to evolution of the right of privacy.
• Represented the Government of India in a challenge to the Domestic Violence Act.
• Appointed by the Supreme Court of India as amicus curiae relating to appointment of judges and the selection process for appointment of judges.
• Challenge to the All India NEET exam which paved the way for large-scale benefits to students all over the country.
• Represented the Government in the adoption of Good Samaritan guidelines in motor accident cases.
• Represented the Government in public interest litigations leading to evolution of victims’ compensation guidelines
• Representing the Government of India in disputes relating to fixed dose combinations.

• Dr. Anand has handled some of the foremost cases in commercial litigations between parties which have led to dispute resolution and improving the rule of law.

• Represented the Union of India in issues challenging the constitutional validity of the Domestic Violence Act.

Telecom Law:
• Representing the Government in issues arising out of the 2G telecom scam.
• Representing the Government in issues relating to refund of licence fee and adjustment of licence fee in telecom matters.

• Representing the Government in issues relating to powers of the Tribunal to impose penalties and to take action in case of violation of the Act and guidelines.
• Represented the Government in the landmark case of powers of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
Environmental Laws:
• Represented the Government in a PIL leading to directions by the Supreme Court of India to corporations for establishing STP (Sewage Treatment Plants) throughout India.
• Represented the Government in cases of implementation of directions throughout the country in public litigations and evolving a formula for imposing environmental compensation.
• Appearance in matters relating to ban of old vehicles in particular 10 year old diesel vehicles and 15 year old petrol vehicles.
• Represented utilities in the Yamuna cleaning issues.
• Handled issues of environmental compensation in Adani Port in Kerala.
• Handled several environmental compensation issues in various road projects of the National Highway Authority of India.
• Represented the Government and successfully led the way for the completion of the famous Char Dham Project in India involving the northern region of India.
