Dr Louisa Sherlock

Viewing: Fraudulent Insurance Claims for Dr Louisa Sherlock

Louisa is dual qualified in dentistry and law, and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She practised as a dental surgeon for over 10 years and regularly lectures to dentists, dental nurses and expert witnesses on relevant legal matters as part of their CPD. She also cross-examines expert witnesses as part of their assessment with the Expert Witness Institute.
As such, Louisa readily understands complex terminology within medical records. She can read through medical records rapidly, with the ability to pick out relevant points in a case which involves a potential fundamental dishonesty finding or dispute in relation to causation.
Louisa has extensive experience in representing both Claimants and Defendants in such cases. When representing a Claimant, she is able to identify the weaknesses in her client’s case when facing such a finding, and advise accordingly when to settle and when to proceed to trial with robust submissions. When representing the Defendant, given her professional background, she is able to cross-examine sensitively and effectively, and has successfully argued, where appropriate, that a Claimant is Fundamentally Dishonest.
