Viewing: Cancer for Chris Bright KC

Both as a junior and now in Silk, Chris has been frequently instructed in oncological cases involving all types of cancer, including ophthalmic, breast, prostate, skin and oesophageal cancers (see below), and now regularly conducts high-value dependency/Fatal Accident Act claims.
Chris is expert in all the clinical, causation and procedural issues of particular relevance to oncology claims, such as, sadly, the need for deposition evidence in the case of terminal illness and is known for his client care skills and his sympathetic handling of sensitive issues such as life expectancy.
Some examples of Chris’s oncology cases are as follows:
Re: AH.
Lump sum of GBP 1.2m (Claim involving a failure to diagnose an ophthalmic brain tumour, leading to effective blindness in a young man. Complex clinical evidence on causation).
Re: G.
Lump sum of GBP 618,000 (Trial award - failure to diagnose prostate cancer).
Re: LC.
Lump sum of GBP 500,000 (Death of a wife/mother due to a delayed diagnosis of breast cancer).
