Charlotte’s experience of clinical negligence cases started during her pupillage and has continued to this day. She advises on liability and quantum in writing and in conference on a regular basis, as well as attending hearings up to and including trial. She enjoys the particular challenges that clinical negligence work brings, including the variety of medical specialisms that she encounters and the necessity of getting to grips with complicated expert evidence in a short period of time.
Charlotte has experience of cases against GPs, private medical professionals and NHS trusts. In addition, she has dealt with medical claims arising from care provided in a care/nursing home environment, for example the development of pressure sores.
Charlotte regularly advises in cases against dental practitioners. This has covered both routine and cosmetic dentistry, from minor damage or loss of a tooth, through to significant tooth loss and the need for extensive restoration work.
