Changez acts in commercial disputes with a particular focus on: (1) cases which straddle the divide between employment and company law; and (2) cases involving allegations of fraud or breach of trust.
Company law
His company and employment experience involves disputes that typically arise on the exit of senior employees and directors, for example: restraint of trade covenants, unpaid commission or bonus, breaches of director’s duties and unfair prejudice of minority shareholders.
His experience in fraud encompasses misrepresentation claims and breaches of trust or fiduciary duty and the pursuit of equitable remedies.
Contested hearings
Changez has acted in a number of reported cases in the High Court and County Court. In addition to his trial work, he has experience of contested interim injunctions, freezing orders and interim payments. He is happy to work as sole or junior counsel and believes in strong team work with clients, instructing solicitors and experts.
Advisory work
Changez is happy to advise in writing and test matters in conference including by video-conference. He aims to deliver advice that is clear, focussed and decisive.
He accepts instructions on a direct access basis in suitable cases. He is fluent in French (including legal French) and is happy to accept instructions from Francophone clients.
