Camilla has a wide experience of commercial matters, including contractual disputes relating to companies, small business, informal agreements, PFI and financial disputes arising out of the Madoff litigation, and applications such as Bankers Trust orders and freezing injunctions.
As a pupil, Camilla worked on several high value cases in the High Court, including a multimillion-pound group action claim against the government.
Prior to commencing pupillage Camilla worked in Canada at Lenczner Slaght LLP and at WeirFoulds LLP as the Harold G. Fox Scholar, as well as in the US at CritelliLaw PC as the Middle Temple Anglo-American Scholar, gaining experience of international commercial litigation”
Inheritance Disputes, Wills Trusts and Estates
Camilla has advised on a broad range of traditional chancery disputes, including 1975 Inheritance Act claims, contentious and non-contentious probate, trusts and members’ clubs. She has particular experience of jurisdictional issues concerning offshore trusts. Camilla has also drafted pleadings for a professional negligence claim arising from a negligently drafted will.
Insolvency
Camilla has experience of winding up and bankruptcy petitions and has advised on section 212 misfeasance proceedings against company directors.
Company
Camilla has advised on a variety of company disputes, including derivative claims, the interpretation of shareholder agreements, the liability of passive directors and the rectification of a company’s register of members.
Real Estate: Landlord and Tenant
Camilla has experience of possession orders against tenants and against squatters, charging orders and orders for sale. She has also advised on several tenancy disputes, including misrepresentation and breach of covenant in relation to a commercial lease, in addition to issues relating to restrictive covenants in commercial leases.
Procedural issues
Camilla has extensive experience of procedural matters, including applications relating to strike out, default judgment, summary judgment, disclosure compliance and relief from sanctions.
