In a webinar marking their appointment to silk in this year’s competition, David Tyack QC and John Coughlan QC analyse and clarify the law relating to injuries and losses suffered at various stages of pregnancy. From IVF accidents to claims for wrongful birth, and Congenital Disabilities Act claims to traumatic injuries to mother and child, David and John review this complex and sensitive area of litigation from first principles and offer an update on recent case law. The webinar will include a specific focus on primary and secondary victim cases arising from traumatic events at delivery.
