A WOMAN who claimed a top West Midlands police officer, who headed a child abuse investigation unit, assaulted her when she was a youngster was living an “adult fantasy”, a court heard.

Detective Inspector Glen Boulton, of Widney Road, Bentley Heath, Solihull, denies four counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecency with a child between 1978 and 1984.

The 45-year-old was aged between 13 and 19 when the alleged offences took place against two sisters aged six and eight years younger than him.

A jury at Worcester Crown Court had earlier been told Boulton’s dad had been friends with the sisters’ father because they served together in West Midlands Police.
