Appeals had been brought, respectively by Richborough Estates Ltd and Oxford Law, in respect of separate residential development proposals in Semington, Wiltshire. Richard Humphreys QC acted for Wiltshire Council in both appeals.

In 2016 Richard Humphreys QC also acted for Wiltshire Council in successfully resisting an appeal by Gladman Developments Ltd in respect of a residential development proposal in Shurnhold, Melksham, Wiltshire (decision letter October 2016).
