No5 Barristers' Chambers is delighted to announce that Francesca Perera has joined the Crime Group. Francesca joins chambers following completion of pupillage and subsequent employment at the Crown Prosecution Service.

As part of her work at the CPS, Francesca prosecuted various hearings in the Magistrates Court, including trials, remand courts, sentence hearings and case management hearings.  In addition to this, Francesca undertook file reviews which required critical analysis of the evidence, advising the police on reasonable lines of enquiry and considering disclosure. Francesca is fully up to date with the Attorney General's Guidelines on disclosure.

Head of Group, Mark Heywood QC said: “We are delighted to welcome Francesca Perera to our team. She has demonstrated conspicuous ability in the competitive early years of practice, and joins us as the group’s share of the market continues to increase. I am certain Francesca has a successful career ahead of her.”
