The 2013 Marie Curie Birmingham Brain Game has been won for the third time by No5 Chambers. Quiz Master for this year’s charity showcase brainteaser was Emma Willis, the TV presenter from Sutton Coldfield.
The quiz and auction raised over £100,000 with 51 teams from the legal and other business sectors competing. Nicola Preston again captained the No5 Chambers’ team to victory. Team members included James Corbet Bucher, Stephen Whitaker, David Mitchell, Adam Mountford, Steven Reed, Gemma Roberts, James Parks, Lee Preston of Waldrons and Mark Terrar of the Wilkes Partnership.
Tony McDaid, Practice Director of No5 Chambers comments: "We have growing links with Marie Curie, having raised more than £80,000 for them over the last three years via our charity Ralph Lewis QC Memorial Cup boxing event. We have now won the Marie Curie Brain Game shield for the third time and I wonder if we get to keep it in the same style as the FIFA World Cup?
