No5 Chambers sponsors Leicestershire Law Society Schools Court Competition

Thu, 21 Nov 2013

The Leicestershire Law Society for the second year held the Schools Court Competition on 16th November 2013. Students from 8 schools took part, and the event was a huge sucess. No5 Chambers were pleased to sponsor the prize of Best Court Official, which was won by Semilore Adabay from St Paul's School.

The competition, which took place at Leicester Crown Court, allowed students from local schools to take part in mock trials. Students aged 13-16 were given a case to prepare beforehand, and the defence team had to persuade the jury, which is also made up of pupils, that the defendant is innocent.
