A fund raising event in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and Avon and Bristol Law Centre will be held at Brislington Cricket Club in Bristol tomorrow. Five teams will compete on a round robin basis, and the winning team will receive the Anthony Barker QC Memorial Shield 2014. The event follows on from last years successful tournament held in Birmingham, which raised over £3,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Teams taking part at the event tomorrow include Avon and Bristol Law Centre, Lewis Nedas, Temple Bright, Morris Orman Hearle and No5 Chambers.
We invite guests to come along to watch the matches and support colleagues who are taking part. A bar and refreshment facilities will be available throughout the day, and an evening BBQ will follow the final. A raffle will also take place throughout the day to raise funds for Marie Curie and Avon and Bristol Law Centre, with prizes including a stay at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel, tickets to the Wallace and Grommit Exhibition at M Shed, wine, and restaurant vouchers.
