New HQ for Squibb Group After Extensive Planning Battle

Wed, 04 Nov 2015

After a hard fought and long running planning battle, Kevin Leigh recently helped a commercial client obtain the final approval for new offices for the Squibb Group in Stanford le Hope, Essex. The company has been based for many years in Barking. As a leading demolition contractor in the UK with a global presence in Europe and the Middle East, the company wanted to build a new HQ to accommodate its growing and successful business. Kevin helped the company by advising throughout and assisting its planning and specialists advisers, appearing at planning committee meetings, appeals and in the High Court. With the Kevin’s help the company recently successfully challenged an enforcement notice so as to allow an under-enforcement on terms that allowed the business to operate commercially from the site including the parking of a fleet of HGVs and larger abnormal load vehicles. This consent was followed by the recent approval granted by Thurrock Borough Council after Kevin appeared before the planning committee when permission for Squib Group’s administrative offices and associated car parking was also granted.
