National Offer Day 2017, is when Children across the country will find out which secondary school they have been allocated for this autumn, known as National Offer Day.
What should I do if I've been refused my preferred choice and want to appeal?
The appeal must be made in writing. You will be told how to appeal when your local authority gets in touch. Check the form for the appeal deadline. Admission authorities must publish their appeals timetable on their website by 28 February each year.
To appeal you will need to explain the following:
· Why you disagree with the decision
· Why your child deserves a place at the school
· Why authorities haven't, in your opinion, followed the correct processes
· Any change of circumstance since your original application
What to do next?
Consider whether you will need assistance or representation at the appeal hearing? If so, it is a good idea to seek help as soon as soon as possible.
