Nageena Khalique QC speaks at the Scottish Government and Chief Social Work Officers Strategic Workshop in Edinburgh

Nageena Khalique QC was invited to speak in Edinburgh at the Scottish Government and Chief Social Work Officers Strategic Workshop on Thursday 31st March 2016

She delivered a lecture entitled "Cross border jurisidictional issues, ordinary residence and deprivation of liberty" to delegates which included the Chief Social Workers in Scotland, the Care Inspectorate, the Chair of Organisational Development Standing Committee, Ministers in the Scottish Government, Chair of Community Care Standing Committee and the Deputy Director of Care Support and Rights

Mr Alistair Gaw, President, Social Work Scotland thanked Nageena for a "really valuable session" and an excellent presentation. She has been invited to work with the Chief Soical Work Officers to publish guidance on these issues. Nageena attended the evening dinner in Edinburgh as a guest of the Chief Soical Work Officers and Scottish Government.
