A 46-YEAR-OLD man murdered his girlfriend of 30 years by stabbing her in the heart after claims he had got another woman pregnant, a court heard.
Anthony Lawton has already admitted killing Kerry Day on April 25 two weeks after they moved into their Burslem flat.
But Lawton denies murdering Kerry and went on trial at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday.
The court heard that Lawton, who admits manslaughter, had gone to neighbour David Gunn's flat for help at around 8.45pm on April 25.
