John Attwood in predatory paedophile case

Tue, 06 Nov 2012

Michael Jackson, 50, from Oldbury, a "predatory" paedophile, has been jailed indefinitely.

Jackson kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 10-year old boy, who he tied up and held prisoner, and also abducted an 11-year old girl.

Jackson pleaded guilty and has been ordered by Judge Martin Walsh to serve at least seven years before being eligible to apply for parole. Judge Walsh stated it would probably be many years, if ever, before Jackson would be deemed safe for release.

John Attwood, defending, said that Jackson has been receiving treatment under the Mental Health Act.
