Interviewed on German TV, S Chelvan Warns Government Plans Will Force Migrants Underground

Thu, 12 Nov 2015

S Chelvan, Barrister at No5 Chambers, was interviewed on German TV last night on ZDF’s Auslands Journal program.  The program compared various European government policies with respect to migrants.  Chelvan highlighted his opinion that the current proposals outlined in the Immigration Bill, currently being debated in Parliament, where any migrant who is refused by the Home Office a claim under article 8 of the ECHR (private/family life) will have to appeal the decision from outside the UK, will force migrants underground.

A link to the item (in German) can be found here, with Chelvan appearing at 15:50 - 14:13.
