Inquest Opens Into Culver Death

An inquest opened on Monday 15th October into the death of Robert Hayball, 20, of Newport who was found dead at the foot of the Culver Cliffs. 
 
Hayball left home in a van after a domestic dispute, and police were called at 2.52am by his concerned partner. A short time later the police were informed that a vehicle had gone over a cliff at Culver. Hayball's body was found near to the vehicle the following day.
 
Coroner for the Isle of Wight, Caroline Sumeray, said at the inquest opening that a post-mortem confirmed Mr Hayball, who was born in Thailand, died of multiple injuries and trauma.
