Clive Anderson and guests - Ian Dove QC, Nathalie Lieven QC, Frances Patterson QC and Andrew Whitaker, Planning Director of the Home Builders Federation, engaged in lively discussion in the wake of National Planning Policy Framework. 
 
Clive Anderson probed guests about the effects of the new “slimmed down” policy document and whether planning law and policy strikes the right balance between encouraging economic growth and the protection of the environment and certain human rights. 
 
Guests grappled with topics of localism, sustainable development, removal of regional planning authorities, and rights of travelers, through to the powerful position of Great Crested Newt.
