No5 Chambers is pleased to announce that Hashi Mohamed has been awarded the outgoing Pegasus Trust Scholarship for 2014 to Dubai. The highly coveted award gives opportunities in foreign jurisdictions to barristers of up to five years’ practice.

The panel interviewing consisted of eminent individuals at the Bar of England and Wales, including; His Honour Michael Brooke QC, The Hon. Mr Justice Sales, Mr James Guthrie QC and Ms Patricia Edwards.

Hashi’s time in Dubai will be partly spent with Al Tamimi and Co, the largest commercial law firm in the Middle East with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Another part of his time will be at the DIFC Courts, an independent, common law judicial system with exclusive jurisdiction over all civil and commercial disputes within DIFC financial district, including bodies and companies registered in DIFC.

Hashi is to spend 8-12 weeks in Dubai starting from September/October 2014.

This opportunity will undoubtedly assist Hashi’s practice to become more international, a direction fully supported by No5 Chambers.
