Harpreet Sandhu defends in paedophile killing case

Daniel Martin, 24, has admitted killing convicted paedophile, Andrew Heath, 52 by starting a fire at his home in December 2011.

Martin pleaded guilty to manslaughter at Birmingham Crown Court. He denied murdering Mr Heath on the grounds of a lack of intent; the prosecution accepted this.

The hearing was adjourned for psychiatric reports. Martin was remanded into custody and will be sentenced in July.
