Gareth Evans QC prosecutes Operation Helm plea

Daniel Martin, 24, Ronkswood, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Andrew Heath, 52, Warndon, Worcester. Martin set fire to bins places by the front door, which burned out the flat in December 2011 and Heath was found dead inside.  
Heath had convictions for indecent assault against boys aged 14 - 17 in the 1980s and 90s. 
The hearing has been adjourned for psychiatric reports and Martin will be sentenced on 26 July.
