Mon, 03 Oct 2016

Disharn Downie and Dean Silvera have been charged for the murder of eighteen-year-old Kenichi Phillips. It was heard that the teenager was shot in the throat as he strayed onto a rival drug dealer’s ‘turf’.

The jury heard that the brother of the victim, Kwamae Phillips, and passenger Khaleel Johnson were narrowly missed being injured by a second shot.

Both Downie and Silvera deny murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The trial continues.
