No5 Barrister and Deputy Head of International Law, Emma Edhem CC attended the China State Banquet at Guildhall in Honour of the President of The People’s Republic of China, on 21st October 2015, joined by The Duke of York, attended a Banquet at Guildhall given by the Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation. The Lord Mayor and the President will both make speeches at the end of the banquet.
The Banquet is part of The Presidents State Visit accompanied by Madam Peng Liyuan.
The President is paying a State Visit to the United Kingdom as guests of Her Majesty The Queen from the 20th to 23rd October 2015. During the course of the visit the President met with other members of the Royal Family, the Rt Hon George Osbourne, the Rt Hon David Cameron and many more. On Wednesday 21 October the President accompanied by the Prime Minister attended the UK-China Business Sumit at Manion House.
