Ecky Tiwana Defending in Wolverhampton Armed Robbery Trial

Fri, 19 Jun 2015

Three men, Zubair Khan, 27, Oldbury, Ashley Haughton, 27, and Isaac Frazer, 33, both from Whitmore Reans, have all denied charges of robbery, possession of an imitation firearm and possession of an offensive weapon.

A jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court has heard that victim Zemnako Azad Salih, who owns the Sam Euro Style off license in Whitmore Reans, was attacked by two men after leaving his store in the early hours of December 13.

The court heard that Frazer hit him on the head with an imitation pistol and Haughton confronted him with a machete, and they took about £2,700 cash from his pockets as well as his car keys. The third man was acting as a lookout on the street.

The trial continues.

Ecky Tiwana is defending Isaac Frazer in this case.
