Big Issue seller given life sentence for Alum Rock flat murder
 
A BIG ISSUE seller who stabbed his neighbour to death at his home in Birmingham has been jailed for life.
 
Abdul Ghani, of Ellesmere Road, Alum Rock, was found guilty by a jury at the city’s crown court of murdering his neighbour Dean Elwell.
 
Judge Patrick Thomas QC ruled that the 46 year-old must remain behind bars for 14 years before he could be considered for release by a parole board.
