David Mason QC defends in Yardley murder trial

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Paul Davies, 34, Sheldon, has denied murdering Marlon O’Reilly and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

On May 10, Mr O’Reilly was shot five times in the Dovecote Public House. The gunman fired six shots, one of which missed, and escaped on a motorbike.

The prosecution says that the motive for the killing appeared to be an incident earlier in the day at G&A Gym in Garretts Green, when a number of people entered and attacked the people in the gym, including Davies.

Davies, who is represented by David Mason QC, had gone to Thailand but agreed to return to the UK to face the trial. He denies the charges.
