Commercial & Chancery Law Specialist Shakil Najib joins No5

No5 are pleased to announce that Shakil Najib has joined No5 Chambers and will be a member of the Commercial and Chancery, International and Public Law Groups.

Shakil was called to the Bar in 1999 and is recognised for his expertise in commercial and chancery matters. His practice covers a broad range of commercial and chancery work with a particular emphasis on insolvency, company, and partnership litigation. He has significant experience in dealing with all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency, claims arising from breach of directors’ duties, derivate claims, shareholders’ disputes, claims arising from the dissolution of partnerships and disputes relating to the supply of goods and services, mortgages and the enforcement of guarantees and other securities.

Shakil was appointed to the Attorney General’s Regional Panel of Counsel in 2010 and is highly regarded for his work in representing government departments in judicial review claims.
