Caroline Sumeray - Inquest Opens into Crash Death

AN INQUEST has been opened into the deaths of two men who were killed in a crash in Wootton last week.
 
Daniel Mark Hayward, 20, died when his Yamaha R6 motorcycle was in collision with a Toyota Rav 4 car being driven by Leon Paul Richards, 46, at the junction of Park Road and Lushington Hill at around 11pm on Tuesday.
 
At the inquest, opened by Isle of Wight coroner, Caroline Sumeray, it was confirmed Mr Hayward, of Cross Lane, Newport, died at the scene from multiple traumatic injuries consistent with a road traffic accident.
 
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
