Alex Stein represents reinstated nurse at Nursing and Midwifery Council hearing

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

Sajan Karunakaran, a nurse who worked at Bramley Court Residential Nursing Home in Yardley Wood, has been acquitted of a sexual assault charge.

Mr Karunakaran was accused of groping a female colleague, and suspended from the nursing home. He was charged with sexually assaulting a female and banned by the Nursing and Midwifery Council from working as a nurse, pending the court case.

After a trial at Birmingham Crown Court where Mr Karunakaran has been cleared by an unanimous jury, the ban has been lifted meaning he is free to practise as a nurse again.
