2nd Coronial Appointment for No5 Barrister

Caroline Sumeray has been appointed Assistant Deputy Coroner for the District of East London.
 
This 2nd appointment was officially announced on the 1st December 2010.
 
Caroline was selected for her specialist knowledge in the field of forensics, forensic medicine and science, which has seen her instructed on cases including murder, terrorism, arson, child rape and kidnapping.
 
Specialising in Criminal Law at No5 Chambers, Caroline will provide support to the Coroner in all cases requiring an inquest within the areas covering Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Barking, Dagenham and Havering. This is in addition to the areas she already covers as Assistant Deputy Coroner for the District of Greater London North which covers Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Haringey, and Enfield.
 
Caroline holds a Diploma in Forensic Medical Sciences and while at Bar school, was awarded the Ver Heyden de Lancey prize in Forensic Medicine and Science.
